Situated just of the A66 the course is easily accessible from the north east and west and only 12 miles from Junction 40 of the M6. The moorland course is renowned for its excellent greens – some say ‘the best in Cumbria. The course measures 5993 par 68 (SSS 69) for men and 5342 yards, par 72 for ladies and is a fair and enjoyable test for beginners through to more experienced golfers. The greens are superbly maintained, playing well throughout the year, and with the land being free-draining is generally always playable.
