Welcome to Appleby Golf Club
Situated alongside the A66 with easy access East & West, Appleby Golf Club can only be described as an ‘Inland Links’ course, The Open Champion, Willie Fernie used the contours of the land and the heather and bracken features to create our course to great effect. Sitting on a bedrock of Sandstone, Appleby is free draining so is playable all year round, which is a rare thing in Cumbria! The greens are renowned for offering the best throughout the year.
Our signature hole, the Bell Hole 15th, has Hilton Beck, out of bounds and a concealed green to contend with, but is worth the wait.
Appleby Golf Course is currently ranked 94th in England, 14th in the North West and 3rd in Cumbria.
